Opalite is a man-made gemstone. It is made from glass and designed to appear like opal It has a milky, translucent base that shifts between a soft blue and a warm peach depending on the light and what it is placed against.

Despite being glass it is often marketed as a crystal or gemstone, which is why you’ll often find it in both categories, even though it is glass.
